Start here

1. Install (2 minutes, no admin)

  1. Close Revit.
  2. Open 02-LIBRARIES\07-PLUGINS\01-BBM-TOOLS and double-click INSTALL-BBM-TOOLS.cmd.
  3. Start Revit. At the first start Revit asks about an unsigned add-in: choose Always Load.
  4. Two tabs appear: BABOOM Tools and BABOOM Engineering. Revit 2023 to 2027.

2. Updates arrive by themselves

  • Each Revit start checks the share for a newer version (6 seconds at most) and copies it to %LOCALAPPDATA%\BBM-Tools\<year>.
  • A balloon tells you "BABOOM Tools updated" with what is new.
  • Off the office network Revit uses the last copy; nothing breaks.
  • Version on the share now: 1.261105.1750.

3. Pick your discipline once

On BABOOM Engineering the Discipline box (ARC, ID, LSC, STR, MEP, FLS) swaps the discipline panels in place. It is remembered for you. Quantities, Specifications, Sustainability and Engineering Checks are for everyone.

Status on every button: Works now runs today; Planned is in the approved design and shows a short note in Revit until it is built.
